Case Study / A.Y.L. Painting

A.Y.L. Painting

A site upgrade for a North Jersey painting contractor established in 1994.

We built and launched A.Y.L.'s website. Once it was live and working, we returned to the same foundation to raise the presentation to the standard of the business, without replacing what already worked.

The homepage, brought up to the company's level.

The first homepage said the right things. The upgrade gave those ideas more weight: a full-bleed hero built from A.Y.L.'s own photography, a new type system, and a clearer path to an estimate.

Built for the widths in between.

At tablet and small-laptop widths, the original navigation broke onto two rows. The header now holds a single row and collapses cleanly below it.

Commercial work, moved to the front.

A.Y.L.'s commercial work was already on the site, but it was not leading the presentation. Commercial now opens the homepage's capabilities, and the Commercial & Industrial page was rebuilt: the hero image runs to the edge, capabilities became a numbered navy register, and the project photography became an editorial composition.

On the homepage

The original capabilities led with Residential. The upgrade leads with Commercial.

Original homepage capabilities: three small photo tiles, with Residential first
After
Upgraded homepage capabilities: large staggered photo panels, with Commercial first

The work, presented as the proof.

Every photograph on the site is A.Y.L.'s own.

The same 28 projects, reorganized. The original page showed every job in one uniform grid. The upgrade groups the work into chapters and gives the strongest projects room.

The same care, carried through.

Services, the estimate request and the company's history got the same treatment: clearer hierarchy, quieter layouts, and presentation that better supports the work.

After
Upgraded services section with a ruled list
Red-square bullets retired for a ruled register.

After

Portrait treatment and a clear 40+ years proof element.

Still recognizably A.Y.L.

This was an upgrade to a working site, not a replacement. The name, colors, logo and core content customers already knew stayed put. What changed was how it was presented.

The first site got A.Y.L. online properly. The upgrade made the presentation match the company behind it.

Shipped on the same production system.

The upgrade shipped on the existing Astro and Cloudflare foundation. The backend, lead-delivery path and SEO infrastructure remained in place while the frontend presentation was refined across the site.

A business can outgrow its website.

A.Y.L. didn't need a new website. It needed the site it already had to look like the company. If yours is in the same place, start with a conversation.
